Wow. A Kyrgyzian Christmas sure sounds like fun. And I like your sweater--very diamondesque. Also, I was thinking that a debate on snow has the potential to be very difficult once you get past the obvious pretty, wet, cold...So that didn't sound too rudimentary at all. Finally, all the Russian guys at work (we've got an Uzbeki, Armenian, bona fide Russian, and some guy from near the Caspian sea) and they all say a.) You're "fucking crazy" for living in Siberia, and b.) want to know how your Russian is coming. Ok...long enough post. Miss you.

Sarah - my Russian is not coming along at all because I am learning Kyrgyz at the moment - perhaps I will learn Russian in the future...it would help a lot because that's all they speak in Kant and Bishkek, but anyway...also, I don't live in Siberia, which is in Russia, I live in the Kyrgyz Republic...so you can tell your Russian ex-pat friends that...miss you too, later.

Huh. I don't know anything about the geography of the area, or exactly where Siberia is...but you'd think the "Russian" guys would know where it is. Anyway, the "crazy" comment is supposedly a quote from some famous Russian author, of whom I'd never heard. So, apparently and unsurprisingly, I am ignorant of all things east/south of the Ural Mountains. Anyway, I'll tell those guys they don't know anything about the Kyrgyz Republic...idiots. Bye.
